Connecting to TV Displays

Some rooms across the St Mary's Campus have multiple ways to connect your mobile device to the TV display - this FAQ will cover all of them.

Wireless Connection - Windows devices

1. Firstly you want to make sure the TV is ready to connect, if you turn on the TV and see the screen below, you can skip step 2.

Instead of "MS DisplayAdapter" you should see the room number (eg "V12" in the Veritas Centre)

2. If you didn't see the above screen, you will need to change the "source" or "input" on the TV. Using the TV controls or remote, select the icon below to change source.

You will need to change it to one of the other HDMI options (the correct one may be different room to room, but the correct source should have a marker to say that there's a signal, like a green light)

3. On your mobile device, find the "Connect" option, this is done by going to the action center (square to the right of the time\date) in the bottom right corner of your screen

From there you should be able to see your room name - click on that and you will be connect to the TV.

4. If you can't see your laptop screen on the TV, make sure that your display is set to "duplicate". You can do this by going to the action center and choosing "Project".
