Rooms across the St Mary's Campus have different ways to connect your mobile device to the TV display depending on your device - this FAQ will cover all of them.
Wireless Connection - Windows devices
1. First, you want to make sure the TV is ready to connect,
if you turn on the TV and see the screen below, you can skip to step 3.
Instead of "MS DisplayAdapter" you should see the room number (eg "V12" in the Veritas Centre)
2. If you didn't see the above screen, you will need to change the "source" or "input" on the TV. Using the TV controls or remote, select either of the icons below to change source.
You will need to change it to Microsoft
3. On your Windows device, find the "Connect" option, this is done by going to the action center (square to the right of the time\date) in the bottom right corner of your screen
From there you should be able to see your room name - click on that and you will be connect to the TV.
Note: Also, if your room number is not appearing on the list, the TV may need to be restarted - to do this, hold down the power button on the remote until the Display says "Samsung Smart TV"
After a minute or so your room name should appear on the list
4. If you can't see your laptop screen on the TV, make sure that your display is set to "duplicate". You can do this by going to the action center and choosing "Project".
