There are many reasons why you may fin yourself without internet or Wi-Fi on your device, but here are some fixes you can try yourself:
__________________________
Reconnecting \ Forgetting Networks
On Windows devices, access your Wi-Fi networks in the system tray (bottom right corner)
From here, click on the Wi-Fi tile in the bottom left, it should go grey and Wi-Fi will be displayed as "Turned off"
Click on the same tile again and wait a moment, it should reconnect to SMC-Student or SMC-Staff and be "Connected, Secured"

If reconnecting isn't enough, you may need to "Forget" the network altogether,
First, go to your Wi-Fi networks in the system try again (bottom right corner)
From there, choose Network and Internet Settings
Now, choose Wi-Fi, and then Manage known networks
Here you will see all saved networks on your device, select SMC-Student or SMC-Staff and choose Forget
You can now connect to SMC-Student or SMC-Staff again, but this time, it will ask for your Username and Password.
If you are still having trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, or have connected, but don't have internet access, please see the IT Department for assistance.

Reconnecting \ Forgetting Networks
On Mac devices, access your Wi-Fi options from the top of your screen
From there, choose Turn Wi-Fi Off, wait a moment, then turn it back on from the same space.
You may automatically reconnect to SMC-Student or SMC-Staff, if not, try choosing it from the list of available networks again.
If this doesn't resolve your issue, move on to the next step.
