A Beginners Guide to Setting up your SMC MacBook

Step 1. Basic Setup

The following steps will allow you to setup a user account to get up and running.

Step 2. Connecting to WiFi

These steps will allow you to connect your MacBook to the St Mary's College WiFi network as well as your home WiFi.

Step 3. Setting up Microsoft Office

The following steps will allow you to download Microsoft Office, Install the relevant software and login with your Office365 credentials.

Step 4. Setting up OneDrive

The following steps will allow you to configure Microsoft OneDrive on your Mac with your Office365 credentials.

Step 5. Setup Google Chrome

The following steps will show you how to install Google Chrome on your Mac.

Step 5A: Setup Google Sync in Chrome:

The following steps will show you how to Sync your Chrome settings, Bookmarks and History.

Step 5B: SEQTA (In Google Chrome)

The following steps will show you how to access SEQTA in Google Chrome and save SEQTA as a Bookmark.

Step 1. From the Google Chrome URL Bar, type the SMC SEQTA Address https://seqta.stmaryscollege.catholic.edu.au

Step 2. Add your Bookmark to SEQTA following these steps: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/188842?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

Step 3. Once complete, proceed to login to SEQTA with your SMC credentials.

 

Please note: Instructions to setup SMC's new Express and Advanced Print Release service will be available in January 2020.
