If you have installed the Advanced print option prior to your account name chane, you will need to remove the old queue first:
-Go to your Start Menu, search for and select "Printers & Scanners"
-From here you should see a list of installed printers, if "Advanced Print" is one of them, click on it and choose "Remove Device"
Advanced Print allows you to utilise all functionalities of the Sharp Copiers at SMC, to install the Advanced Print option on Windows devices, follow these steps:
Before following this guide, please download and run this registry fix:
After having run the registry fix, restart your laptop and start from step 1 below:
1. Open Windows Explorer, which should be on your taskbar:
2. Click in the address bar, then type in the following: \\print.ad.stmarys.sa.edu.au\ and hit enter
3. You may be prompted for a username and password, if so, enter your username as stmc\username, then enter your SMC password.
You should now see a list of printers, double left click on Advanced Print to add it.
If you haven't already done so, you can also add Express Print the same way here
5. You should now be able to choose the AdvancedPrint as an option. To get the the extra features such as stapling and folding, click on printer properties in your print menu
If the printer fails to connect, or you run into any other problems along the way, please contact the IT Department for assistance.
After sending a job to Advanced Print, you can release the job by signing into any supported photocopier.
Note that you will need to sign into a copier that has the features you chose.
